Daily Prayer is a prayer app built around the Book of Common Prayer, the classic Anglican prayer book. It gives you set prayers and Scripture readings four times a day: morning, midday, evening, and late evening.
Each office walks you through the prayers in order, with the day's Lectionary readings built in. The Bible text is included in the app, from the ESV translation, and you can press play and have it read aloud to you. You can set notifications for the times of day you actually plan to pray, and there are no ads anywhere.
I appreciate how it removes excuses. The hardest part of praying at fixed hours is having everything in one place at the moment you need it. This puts the whole office on one screen, so you can pray midday prayer in the parking lot before you walk back into work.
Good fit for anyone drawn to praying at set hours but not ready to navigate a full breviary. The rhythm will feel familiar to Catholics, since these offices grew out of the same tradition as our Liturgy of the Hours.
It is an Anglican app, not a Catholic one. The prayers come from the Book of Common Prayer, and the readings use the ESV, a Protestant translation that leaves out the deuterocanonical books. Nothing in it offends a Catholic conscience in my view, but it will not match the Church's liturgical calendar or the Divine Office. If you want the real thing, look at iBreviary or Universalis instead.

SOUND ORTHODOXY While this app was designed for all believers from all walks of the Christian faith, the rhythms found within are all adapted in some form from Anglican liturgy, and from the Book of Common Prayer. We believe that these ancient patterns of connecting with the Lord have deep meaning in our modern times.
LECTIONARY As you walk through your day in prayer and scripture reading, you will be presented with different scripture readings every morning, midday, evening and late evening, taken from the Daily Office Lectionary, St. Mary’s Day Revision, 2018.
