With Lent only one week away, it’s time to consider what you will be reading to help you grow in holiness. Lent can be an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God the Father. And perhaps Mary as well! These are all great options for your Catholic Lent books, and we have one that has it’s own app as well.
Many, many times I am waiting for something with nothing with me to do. I watch other people pull out their phones and start a game of Candy Crush, or something. If you need just a bit more, then make it your goal to get through an Spiritual book this lent.
Here are my recommendations:
Life of Christ by Fulton Sheen (About $15.99)
Apple iBooks: Life of Christ
Google Books: Life of Christ
33 Days to Morning Glory (About $9.99)
Amazon Kindle: 33 Days to Morning Glory Kindle Book
Apple iBooks: 33 Days to Morning Glory – Michael E. Gaitley, MIC
Google Books: 33 Days to Morning Glory
Hail Mary’s Blog: No Spend Lent (Free)
Last year, we completed a No-Spend Lent and it was pretty incredible. In November, we attempted a No-Spend November group with mixed results. This year, we decided to refine our experiences and compile our “wisdom” (quotes for a reason!) to bring it to the masses!
