Our family likes to have background music going when we are together, we even take it outside on a bluetooth speaker with us. When I’m looking for music to get me through life or just a few minutes of my day, I will always turn to my playlists, or search other playlists. Summer time is not an exception, with our children out of school, things can get busy and a bit hectic. But, what if you had a few worship songs playing in the background, could that lighten things up, having your favourite song come on?

Matt Maher, a well-known respected Christian artist, has curated these playlists on Spotify. We have featured some in our e-mails. It is refreshing that he has chosen to create playlists utilizing a mix of genre’s that allows us to connect to the music he enjoys outside of his own. Spotify has made it so easy for us to enjoy any type of music we desire. Creating and following Spotify playlists can provide a trusted and controlled source of music, both secular and Christian and can still be uplifting, clean, fun and family friendly.

“I place my hope in the giver, not in the gifts that I have been given. This line has been a driving force in my life throughout these last three years. As I continue to grow as an artist and build a career, I am more and more convinced that if I tried to do this on my own I would fail. If I leaned solely on my song writing ability, or just on my guitar playing, or just on my ability to entertain, they would all fail me. There is a purpose in everything I do, and that purpose is to point hearts back to the Giver. If I take Him out of it, than all of this is for nothing.” My favorite on this album is I Believe and All I Need (feat. Ricky Vazquez) – Connor Flanagan

A NEW Summer 2017 Playlist

This is inspired by the newly found (by us) Catholic Playlist Show #18! I love this show, you will too!

By the way, that bluetooth speaker we were talking about before, here it is. It’s solar and chargeable, so it never runs out of batteries.
