Bible Verse of the Day is a multi-feature Bible app despite the name. You get a daily verse (the headline feature), but also a full Bible in multiple translations, search, note-taking, study tools, and audio playback.
The translation selection is broader than most apps — multiple English versions plus several other languages — which makes it useful if you read in more than one language or want to compare translations side by side. Search and navigation work well for finding specific passages quickly.
This is a general Christian app, not Catholic-specific. The translations available skew Protestant (KJV, NIV, NLT) — there's no NABRE or RSV-CE that I noticed, which limits its usefulness if you want to read the Catholic canon with the Catholic-approved English text. The deuterocanonical books may or may not be available depending on the translation you pick.
What it's good for: anyone who wants a flexible Bible app with multilingual support and a daily-verse hook to keep them coming back. Solid for general use.
What it's not: a Catholic Bible app. For that, look at the Truth and Life Audio Bible or the USCCB's own reader. This is broader Christian.
