Living Bread Radio, Catholic Radio App

It also responds to the call of Pope John Paul II for a New Evangelization and a New Springtime for the Church, as it is using a mainstream tool – the radio – to evangelize. I am very impressed with how they have approached this app, their response to the New Evangelization is fantastic! The radio station is located in Ohio and it started out as a small local transmission. It has grown from having only local listeners in the beginning to now having listeners all over the world. Their goal with this app is to make the deep spiritual content, that they both create and license from larger production resources, available to their listeners. Catholic radio lives on!

What Can You Listen To?

Their app connects you with a live feed, as well as, podcasts focused around the daily readings. The live listening experience is great and includes shows such as:

Who is Living Bread Radio?

As described in their app, the Mission of the Living Bread Radio Network is to faithfully broadcast the message of Jesus Christ through radio. Their programming enlightens and educates listeners to the depth and richness of the Catholic Faith, encouraging and inspiring those who are already Catholic to learn more about the Faith and to pass on those teachings to their children. The Network also fosters and promotes devotion to Mary and it also supports and defends the sanctity of every human life from conception until natural death. All programming and content is loyal to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. It is so great to know that all the content I’m listening to, and exposing my kids to, is solidly rooted in the teachings of the Church.

Why Would You Listen to It?

Living Bread Radio offers its listeners a wide variety of really solid Catholic Content. The radio format is great because it isn’t a stream of the same content over and over. It’s unique and a great way to expand your knowledge and your faith. Like I mentioned earlier, I live in an area that doesn’t have a Catholic radio station, so all of my Catholic radio has to come from other sources. This has become one of my go to sources. The app is small and doesn’t take up a lot of space on the device you choose to use. I really encourage you to download it and try it out.

Their radio app follows the same format as a few others we have reviewed and it’s simple to use, just press play. However, unlike some of the other radio apps out there, this Catholic Radio app is available for both Android and Apple devices! This makes it accessible to just about anybody! I was scanning the reviews on this app and came across this one that I think really exemplifies the purpose of this app…
