This Fulton Sheen app is pretty good. It’s basic, but it’s good. There are definitely some draw backs, and downsides for the design and experience of the app. The content is awesome, I find Bishop Sheen funny, entertaining, but very solid in teaching.
This man has taken stances against the worst evils of his time and prophetically enough, ours as well. I used to do all that I could to get a glimpse of this holy man either by way of EWTN or Youtube. Heck, just having his voice echoing from any quality of sound was a spiritual treasure that I cannot articulate.
I am a person that drives long distances for work and family and the radio has only so much to offer. Some may have subscription satellite radio but I don’t.
Sometimes when I comb through the channels I find a preacher talking about scripture and it gets me thinking about my Catholic faith. And if I could hear a great speaker of the Catholic faith like Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen, then my long boring car rides would be filled with so much more meaning. Well, thanks to the app designers Catholic Vault, I can listen to scores of his most renowned lectures on the faith that Christ instituted.
The download is free but you will notice only so many lectures/speeches are available to listen to unless you upgrade to the full version.

However, $13.99 is still a lot for those just looking for great catholic teaching. It also requires WI-FI or data, or you can even use your data plan to access these precious words that lead to the fruits of repentance. It is a streaming service.
This was a big draw back for me. My devices do not have data plans, so when I am on the road I need to use my mobile wifi. I am not sure why this couldn’t just be made an option to download or cache them locally, but the developers, were more concerned with the space required on a device for the entire library. I would love to have this as an ‘on demand’ sort of things, like a podcast, where I would have the option to delete or keep various sermons.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1537300014663{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-right: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;margin-left: 0px !important;border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;border-left-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}”][ultimate_heading main_heading=”An Awesome Demo” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;”][/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This is not a demo that I created. It was already on Youtube.
I can honestly say, that most of my upbringing in the Roman Catholic faith was guided by his scholarly and holy words so much so that I do not think I would be the practicing Catholic I am today. And for all of those that do know who this holy was, you need not my explanations on how great a man of the faith he was.
You who have seen or heard him are aware of the awesome presence of Christ he brought every time he stepped in a room where souls could take him in. Why would you pass up on an opportunity to miss out on the mystifying lectures of a man literally on his way to becoming a saint?! They don’t call him Venerable for nothing, and I guarantee you that if you take time to listen you just might be on your path to canonization too.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1537300014663{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-right: 0px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;margin-left: 0px !important;border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;border-left-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-top-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-top-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #dbdbdb !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}”][ultimate_heading main_heading=”What Are The Topics Covered In This Fulton Sheen App?” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;”][/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Here is the list:
