This app went from really great to absolutely fantastic with the latest update! The developer has really taken this app over the top with a even more clean and clear layout. It simplified the interface and gave it a new modern feel. This is a great Catholic Prayer book to have handy on your phone. It has loads, and loads, (did I loads, because it has a LOT) of Catholic prayers.

Very modern and quick to learn interface.

This is a great app. Everything is so clearly organized. Using the search feature was really great, that was a smart addition to this Catholic app. It was incredibly simple to type in ‘Wife’ to find a great prayers for my spouse. Search for “Eucharist” and it brings up 90 English prayers. One of them was the Chaplet to the Mother of the Most Holy Eucharist, I have never heard of this prayer before.

The instructions for these prayers are very simply written. I found that I could follow them easily. For example on this Chaplet to the Mother of the Most Holy Eucharist, It gave me the prayers for each of the beads. For example:

“Before each decade, on the large bead, say the following prayer:

Haily Mary, O Mother of the Most Holy Eucharist,
help me to believe completely,
help me to love completely,
help me to life what I believe
and love completely”

See! Very easy to do, and very easy to pray.

I added a few to my favourite list. And a big feature is that is UNIVERSAL, so it works on my iPad without being ‘stretched’, it is set up perfectly for the iPad.

Catholic Prayer 2000+ has new day and night modes for reading in dimmed or dark environments.

Some of the other paid apps I have used lacked in the graphics department, especially when the app has so much text. This one didn’t! It was organized really, really well.

You can search for your favorite prayer by keyword, or by title it pulls it right up.

This app was last updated in 2012, but I didn’t have an issue on my iOS 9 iPad 3.

You can see in the screenshot below that it has all of the features you would expect from a modern Mobile app. Once you are viewing a prayer, ANY prayer in the app, you can swipe from the right or press the menu button at the top of the app. At this point you can do a mulitude of things:

• Add it to your favourites list;
• Find related prayers;
• Read translations (if you have them);
• Share it to any of your devices sharing portals;
• Print the prayer (great for teachers, Catechists, religious education coordinators (Religous Ed.);
• Make the font larger or smaller;
• enable the Night mode.

This app has a great developer always pushing the design and functionality of the app forward.

Recents

One of the great areas of this app is that it tracks your recent activity, and you don’t have to do anything. When you get to a prayer, it is automatically added to the recents tab of the app.
