This is a simple but effective tool to assist you in meditating on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary. Each bead has a scriptural verse and an unique and tasteful image to help keep you focussed on the prayer. The interface emulates a physical rosary – simply move between the virtual beads on your mobile device by dragging them.
“The Rosary is the weapon for these times” – Saint Padre Pio
This rosary is accessed through your device’s browser (IE, chrome, Internet, etc). It is pretty straightforward.
To switch between four mysteries: Luminous and Sorrowful, Joyful, and Glorious, you can go to themain navigation, or sometimes in the browser it will be a menu icon, three blue lines over one another.
The upside of using http://fourmysteries.com/ is that you don’t need an app, so if you are on an old iPod, or an new phone without a lot of app options, this is a perfect. However, on of the downsides of the browser based applications, is that many, this one included do not remember where you left off.
The system of praying on http://fourmysteries.com/ is very slick. You slide the ‘beads’ (circles with beautiful Marian artwork in them, to the left. You can use a mouse, finger or stylus. Underneath each bead is a scriptural reference as well as a reference to which prayer to pray.
The http://fourmysteries.com/ website is a featured part of the https://awestruck.tv/ a great Catholic Social Media site. If you get a chance to sign up over there, we have a featured group there too. https://awestruck.tv/groups/catholic-apps/
