Bible — Daily Bible Verse KJV is a free King James Bible app from a developer named Ozion. It gives you the full King James text, a verse-of-the-day, audio playback, and a few sharing tools. Nothing more, nothing fancier.
You open it and you get a verse for the day on the home screen. From there you can swipe into the full Bible, search by keyword, bookmark a passage, or tap play to hear the audio read aloud. There's a small daily reminder you can switch on so the verse pops up at a set time. Sharing a verse to text or social posts is one tap. The interface is plain — black text on white — which is fine for reading.
What I appreciate is the offline mode. Once the text is downloaded you don't need an internet connection to read or listen, which is useful on a plane or in places with bad reception. The audio voice is fine, not great. The verse-of-the-day rotates through familiar passages, mostly Psalms and the Gospels.
It's a fit if you want a simple, no-clutter KJV reader on your phone and you don't need study notes or commentary. Good for someone memorizing verses, sharing a passage with family, or just having a Bible handy when you're waiting somewhere.
For Catholic readers, this is a Protestant Bible. The King James Version is missing the seven deuterocanonical books — Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and the books of Maccabees — that are in the Catholic canon. The translation choices in several Old Testament passages also reflect a Protestant editorial tradition. None of that matters if you're using it for the New Testament or the Psalms, but it's worth knowing what's there and what isn't.
