Catholic Bible. is a free Bible app from independent developer Ravindhiran Sumithra. Despite the name, the app ships only the 66 books of the Protestant canon. The deuterocanonical books that define the actual Catholic Bible are not included.

The app provides the Old Testament and New Testament in English, with offline access, basic search, and a verse-of-the-day push. You can highlight passages, save bookmarks, and adjust the font size. The interface is plain and the navigation is straight from book to chapter to verse without much in the way of extras.

The naming question matters. A reader downloads "Catholic Bible." and reasonably expects to find Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees, and the longer versions of Esther and Daniel that Catholics have used since before the printing press. None of those are in this app. What you actually get is a generic Protestant Bible with a misleading title.

Useful as a backup Bible if you already understand the limitation, for someone who reads mostly New Testament and Psalms and does not need the deuterocanon for their daily reading, and for anyone who wants a quick offline scripture tool without a complicated interface.
