Bible Verses, Bible Word Games is a free word puzzle app from developer Dang Com that turns Bible verses into crossword and word-connect puzzles. You unscramble letters and tap them in order to spell out the verse for that level.
Each level shows a scrambled grid of letters and asks you to find a Bible verse hidden inside. Categories include love, faith, hope, healing, marriage and family, friendship, and peace. The app pulls verses from multiple translations so you may see the same passage worded differently across levels. There is a hints system, a daily challenge, and a social option for sharing scores with friends and family.
The word-game format is a quiet way to memorize scripture. Solving the puzzle forces you to look at every word in the verse rather than skimming, and the verses stick in a way that ordinary reading does not. After a week or two of casual play you start hearing fragments of Psalms in your head during the day.
