Pocket Terco is a Portuguese-language Catholic prayer app built around the rosary. The name means pocket rosary, and that is a fair description. It is the rosary and a good deal more, kept in your pocket.

Inside you get more than two hundred rosaries and novenas, the daily liturgy with the first reading, psalm, Gospel, the day's homily and the saint of the day, over six hundred prayers sorted by category and searchable, and a library of Gregorian chant and Catholic music. There is also an intercession network where you can leave your own intentions and pray for other people's, which gives the whole thing a sense of praying together rather than alone.

The bead counter is the quiet star. You do not need the physical beads, because the app keeps your place as you move through the decades. I still prefer real beads in hand when I can, but for praying while walking the dog or sitting in traffic, having the prayers and the count right there is honestly useful, and it keeps you from losing your spot.

It suits Portuguese-speaking Catholics above all. It is good for praying the rosary or a novena on the go, following the daily readings when you cannot get to Mass, or putting on sacred music while you work or drive.

The one real catch is language. Everything is in Portuguese, so if you do not read it, this one is not for you. The app itself is free and complete, with some optional paid content offered only to help support the developer, not to unlock the prayers you actually came for.
