Catholic Chinese English Bible

This is a Catholic Bible app with the text in both Chinese and English. It carries the full seventy-three-book Catholic canon, including the seven deuterocanonical books that Protestant Bibles leave out.

You get the complete Old and New Testaments with the two languages side by side, so you can read in one and check the other whenever a verse is worth a closer look. The whole canon is here: Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, First and Second Maccabees, and the longer forms of Esther and Daniel, right alongside the books you would expect. Nothing has been trimmed to fit a smaller Protestant table of contents.

Having the two languages together is the real draw. For a Chinese-speaking Catholic family, or for anyone learning either language, reading a verse in one column and the other beside it is a quiet help, and a gentle way to grow your vocabulary in the bargain. It also keeps the whole Catholic Bible in one place, which not every Bible app manages to do.

It suits Chinese-speaking Catholics, bilingual families, and anyone who wants the complete Catholic canon in Chinese and English without hunting around for the deuterocanonical books. It would also serve a parish or study group with members who read more comfortably in one language than the other.

It is a plain Bible, text first and not much else. Do not expect commentary, audio, or study notes. It is also a small app with only a handful of ratings, so it can feel basic next to the larger Bible apps that have years of polish behind them.
