3.0/5The short version
Bible-themed word searches and trivia rounds, gentle enough for a grandparent and a grade-schooler to share. Harmless and mildly educational, but it comes from a general game studio with ads and coin sales, and it's Christian rather than Catholic.

Bible Word Puzzle is a game. You get word-search grids and trivia questions built around the Bible, and you play through them for points and the small satisfaction of a cleared board.
The word searches hide words tied to Bible verses, people, and places, and you drag to connect the letters as you spot them. The trivia rounds ask questions about Scripture, well-known stories, and Christian basics, with a new batch of puzzles arriving regularly. The difficulty is gentle enough for a range of ages, so a grandparent and a grade-schooler could both find a level that suits them.
It is a game first, and worth being honest about that. The puzzles are pleasant, and because the words and questions really do come from Scripture, you pick a few things up without meaning to. But this is entertainment with a Bible coat of paint, not study. You can play for an hour and never once open the actual Bible, and the app will not push you to.
It is a good way to spend five minutes in a faith-friendly way: the commute, a waiting room, or handing the phone to an older child instead of something mindless. It also works as a light, low-pressure way to keep familiar names and stories fresh in your mind.
It will not teach you theology or show you where an answer sits in Scripture. The questions are general Christian rather than Catholic, and the developer is a game studio, not a Catholic publisher. Treat it as a pastime, not a stand-in for reading the Bible.
