3.0/5The short version
Fill in the missing words of Bible verses by connecting letters, one puzzle at a time, even offline. A pleasant swap for other puzzle apps, but it's general Christian with no Catholic angle and plenty of upgrade prompts.

Bible Word Games is a free word puzzle app from Touchzing Media. You connect letters on a board to spell out words and complete Bible verses, one puzzle at a time.
Each level gives you a set of letters and a verse with missing words. You drag your finger across the letters to form the words and fill in the verse. There are hints when you get stuck, a shuffle button to rearrange the letters, and the whole thing works offline. The verses are grouped around themes like life, hope, and love, set against pleasant background images. You can share a verse you like or save it for later. A subscription unlocks premium content, but the basic game is free.
What I like about it is that working out a verse letter by letter makes you slow down and actually read it. Most of us skim Scripture we already know. When you have to build "Be still, and know that I am God" one word at a time, it lands differently.
It is a good fit for anyone who already plays word games on their phone and would rather fill that time with Scripture than with whatever the puzzle apps usually serve up. It works well in waiting rooms and on the commute, and it is gentle enough for older kids or a grandparent and grandchild playing together.
It is a game, though, and it will not teach you the Bible in any ordered way. The verse selection leans the way Protestant devotional apps usually lean, heavy on encouragement and light on context, and there is no Catholic angle to any of it. Touchzing is a general app studio, not a religious publisher, and the free version comes with the usual prompts to upgrade.
Free, with an optional subscription, from Touchzing Media. Available on the App Store: Bible Word Games: Puzzles App. A pleasant way to keep verses in front of you, and nothing more than that.
