Daily Prayer Guide is a small app that gives you a Bible verse and a short prayer each day. You open it, you read what's there, you move on with your day.
The app rotates through prayers for common life situations: gratitude, anxiety, family, work, healing — and pairs each one with a verse from Scripture. You can swipe through past days, save favorites, and share what you find. There is also a section of longer prayers for specific intentions.
It is a quiet, gentle app. I like that it does not try to convert anything about your day. It is more like a small prayer card than a prayer practice, something to look at, a verse to carry with you. Not a substitute for the daily readings or the Liturgy of the Hours, but a calm starting point for a busy morning.
Good for people who are new to praying with Scripture and don't yet have a daily rhythm, or for anyone who wants a simple verse on the lock screen before the news takes over. Parents could read a verse aloud at breakfast.
The app is not Catholic. The developer is independent and the content is general Christian. No saints, no Mass readings, no Catholic distinctives. The translation isn't Catholic-approved (no Deuterocanon, no Catholic study notes), so use it as a supplement, not a Bible.
