Family Rosary

Family Rosary is a simple app for praying the Rosary along with a recorded family. You open it and pray the Rosary together with the voices on the recording, as if you had pulled up a chair with them.

The app does one thing. It leads you through the Rosary so you can follow along out loud, keeping the rhythm of the prayers and the mysteries without having to track the beads and the words yourself. There is nothing else to set up or configure.

There is something honest about how small this is. It is plainly a family's own recording of the Rosary, shared so others can pray with them. That homemade quality is not slick, but the Rosary does not need to be slick, and praying along with real voices can feel less alone than praying by yourself.

It works for anyone who wants help keeping a steady Rosary habit, for a person praying alone who would rather hear other voices, or for a family that wants a recording to lean on when they cannot all be in the same room. It is gentle enough for someone still learning the prayers.

The caveats are mostly about scope. This is a very small app from an individual, not a full prayer suite, so do not expect reading plans, audio options, or settings. It does the Rosary and little else, and how much you like it will depend on whether the recorded pace matches your own.

Family Rosary is free, from developer Dean Albers. You can find it on the App Store through Family Rosary by Dean Albers. As a plain, sincere way to pray the Rosary with company, it does what it sets out to do.
