Fill-in-the-blank drills for memorizing 1 Samuel, from Hannah's prayer to David and Goliath, one verse at a time. It uses a Protestant translation, sells coin packs and hasn't been updated since 2015, so treat it as a niche memory tool.

Fill in the Blank Bible Verses — The First Book of Samuel narrows the same drill format to a single Old Testament book. You get a verse from 1 Samuel with a key word missing, and you fill it in. Repeat across the book.
1 Samuel is a great book to memorize section by section. It has Hannah's prayer (echoed in Mary's Magnificat), the calling of Samuel ("Speak, for your servant is listening"), the rise and fall of Saul, and the introduction of David — including David and Goliath. There's a lot of memorable language here, which makes it well-suited to verse memorization.
What I appreciate: the deep focus. Once you've worked through 1 Samuel verse by verse, the narrative arc actually sticks in a way that a single read-through usually doesn't.
What it's good for: Bible memorization, kids learning the David narratives, Sunday school teachers prepping a 1 Samuel curriculum, anyone seriously trying to know the text.
What it's not: Catholic-specific (uses a Protestant translation), and not a study commentary — it's pure drill.
Free. Available on the App Store: Fill in the Blank Bible Verses — First Samuel. Niche but excellent for what it does.
