The Relevant Radio app has an intuitive interface that makes it a snap to listen to streaming radio while you’re on the move, or at your desk at work!

It offers more than 11 live recorded shows on demand (think Catholic podcasts), plus it contains even more Catholic content, like prayer, links to daily mass video and reflections. Relevant radio take Catholic radio to a new level by hosting great conversations and having a top notch group of hosts.

Upon launch, Relevant Radio (Apple App Store, Google Play (Android), Amazon App Store) presents you with the home screen, a center of sorts, allowing the left and right menu options bring you to where you need to be. If you ever get lost tap the home button on either left or right menu and it will bring you back here. The home are presents the current live program as well as highlighting what’s new on Relevant Radio.

Left Menu “Menu” On Demand Catholic Radio

Relevant Radio navigation menus – you can get to these from the top left side of the app

On the top left “menu” the most important are in the top five. Shows will take you to the listing of all of the shows that are on the Relevant Radio network. You can stream these, if you have data, OR you can set them to download so that you can take them with you, if you don’t have data, or use a device without a mobile connection. So, even if you have an older device you can download and listen ‘on the go’. We really like having the option. Living in Canada, sometimes when you are in rural areas the cell connection completely drops.

Clicking on Shows (on demand) will take you to the listing of all of the shows currently available to stream. Click it and then click on a show and start listening. You will quickly discover which show hosts you ‘click’ with and which you pass on. Everyone is different, and everyone has their favourite shows.

In the show listings you can click the download button for any of the shows, and that will allow you to save it locally on your device, and that means great listening on the go. You can also share great content with family and friends, clicking the share button will allow you to share it.

“Like other radio-streaming apps (Living Bread Catholic Radio, Ave Maria Radio, iCatholic Radio), Relevant Radio gives you an enormous list of topics and hosts to choose from, each with current and past shows available.

Right menu “Pray”

Relevant Radio app Pray menu – Top Right of the app screen.

The right menu has lots of great Catholic content, including prayer (text and audio), and a link to finding masses near you. One of the great assets to this menu is the Saint of the day at the top, or a highlight of the current feast day. Daily readings are also available. Keep in mind that these are linked to live websites, so if you don’t have an internet connection you won’t be able to reach them. There are of course other apps (Daily Readings app) that have on and offline options.

Relevant Radio helps to create a community of hope. This Catholic media apostolate currently has 11 currently running shows. Relevant radio has lots of great content, listen on your drive, listen in your home.

Overall, Relevant Radio (Apple App Store, Google Play (Android), Amazon App Store) is definitely a solid streaming-radio app. It’s easy to use, it performs well, and it’s available for free at the App Store, both on Android and Apple.

Relevant Radio, you can select any of the shows that they offer.
