Praise • Worship • Liturgy

Praise • Worship • Liturgy is the official songbook app of the Chemin Neuf Community, a Catholic community of consecrated and lay members founded in Lyon, France in 1973 and recognized by the Holy See. The app puts more than 800 Christian songs, with lyrics and chords, on your phone for free.

The full Chemin Neuf repertoire is here. You get the essentials from the current songbook, the latest releases from Les Ateliers du Chemin Neuf, and the production tracks with vocal lines marked. Search works by keyword, by language, by Bible reference, by title, and by page number. You can filter your selection in several ways at once, and the songs you pick up most often surface quickly. Songs are downloaded once and read offline.

What I appreciate about this app is how clearly it is built for working musicians and worship leaders. Chord charts are right where you want them. The Bible reference search means you can prepare a Mass or a prayer evening around the readings without flipping through a paper book. The Chemin Neuf melodies have a particular Taizé-adjacent feel — meditative, repeatable, drawn from Scripture — and the community shares them freely with parishes around the world.

This is the right app for parish music ministers preparing weekly liturgy, for chaplaincies and retreat leaders, for youth ministers running praise nights, and for anyone who has been to a Chemin Neuf weekend and wants to keep singing what they sang. The multilingual catalog makes it useful for international parishes and student missions.

The repertoire is specifically the Chemin Neuf community's catalog, so if your parish sings mostly from OCP, GIA, or Spirit & Song collections you will not find those tracks here. There is no audio playback of the songs in most cases — you get the chord chart and the lyrics, not a recording to learn by ear. The interface is built for use during practice and liturgy, not for casual browsing.

Praise • Worship • Liturgy is free from Les Ateliers du Chemin Neuf on the App Store at apps.apple.com. If your parish or community draws on Chemin Neuf music, this is the app to have on the music stand.
