PrayersPlus

A good prayer book does more than collect prayers. It shows how they fit together. PrayersPlus is a thoughtfully gathered collection of Catholic prayers and devotions that takes that seriously. It includes prayers to begin and end the day, prayers of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation and petition, and the devotions that have carried Catholics for centuries. It is laid out as a prayer life in order rather than a loose list.

Built around the Mass

What sets it apart is the framing. The app treats all these prayers as flowing from and back to the Mass, which is how the Church understands personal prayer. Morning and evening prayers, acts of thanksgiving and prayers of reparation each find their place in that larger picture. For someone who wants their private prayer to feel connected to the liturgy, that is a real help.

It also appears to be well cared for. It was updated in January 2026, and its few users rate it 4.6. It runs on iPhone and iPad.

Worth the price

PrayersPlus costs $2.99 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. There are good free Catholic prayer apps, so you don't need to pay to have prayers on your phone. What the price buys here is care in the selection and order, and the sense that someone has thought about how the prayers work together. With only five ratings there is little outside feedback, so the decision rests mostly on whether its approach appeals to you.

It suits Catholics who want a structured prayer book rather than a search box full of prayers, adults deepening their devotional life, and anyone who loves the classic Catholic prayers and wants them arranged with intention. Converts and returning Catholics may find the Mass-centred framing especially helpful.

The verdict: for a few dollars, PrayersPlus gives you a well-organised Catholic prayer book made with evident care. If you're content with a free app you have options, but this one is worth the small price.
