St. Francis of Assisi prayers

St. Francis of Assisi prayers is a small, plain app that gathers prayers connected to St. Francis. It includes his quotes and the well-known Peace Prayer, and it is built for quick, simple use.

There is not much to describe, and that is by design. You open it, you find the prayers and the sayings, and you pray. It works in public or in private, and there are no accounts or settings to wrestle with. The whole thing is light and loads fast.

I have a soft spot for St. Francis, and praying the Peace Prayer slowly is good for the soul on a hard day. Having it ready on your phone means you can reach for it in a waiting room or on a lunch break instead of trying to remember the lines. The quotes are a nice small nudge toward his way of seeing the world.

This is a good fit for anyone with a devotion to St. Francis, for Secular Franciscans, and for people who want a pocket-sized prayer they can return to during the day. It would suit an older Catholic who wants something uncomplicated.

It is a very basic app, and it shows its age. The design is dated and it has not been updated in a few years, so do not expect anything polished or feature-rich. It is the kind of thing that costs a dollar and does exactly one thing. That is fine, as long as you know that going in.

It is ninety-nine cents, made by Ruby Software LLC. You can find St. Francis of Assisi prayers on the App Store. A simple companion for anyone drawn to the little poor man of Assisi.
