Radio Maria Play

Radio Maria Play is the official player for Radio Maria, the worldwide Catholic radio network. It lets you listen to the network's programming from your phone wherever you are.

The app streams Radio Maria's stations, which carry Mass, the Rosary, catechesis, talks, and Catholic music through the day. Because Radio Maria runs stations in many countries, you can tune in to different language feeds from the same network. It is built around live listening, so you open it, hit play, and the day's programming comes through.

What I appreciate is the steadiness of it. Radio Maria has been doing prayer and teaching on the air for a long time, and having the stream in your pocket means you can pray along with the Rosary while you drive or keep the Mass on in the kitchen. It is a quiet way to keep the faith present during ordinary hours.

It is a good fit for people who like radio, for older Catholics who grew up with Radio Maria, and for anyone who wants Catholic audio playing in the background while they work or cook or commute. The international stations also make it useful if you want to listen in another language.

It is not an on-demand library. It is mostly live radio, so what you hear depends on when you tune in, and the schedule follows the station rather than your preferences. Stream quality also depends on your connection.

It is free, made by Associazione Radio Maria. You can find it on the App Store: Radio Maria Play. If you already love Radio Maria, this is the easiest way to carry it with you.
