4.0/5The short version
Radio Maria's American station streams live around the clock with the Rosary, Mass, catechesis and Catholic music. Strongly Marian and devotional, it's a free companion for the car or the kitchen that prays with you.

The car, the kitchen and the workshop can be some of the best places to pray, if something helps you start. Radio Maria USA is the American arm of Radio Maria, the Catholic radio family with affiliates in more than 65 countries broadcasting in over 40 languages. This free app streams the US station live, with Catholic teaching, prayer and music around the clock. Wherever you have a connection, the station comes with you.
What you'll hear
The programming is devotional and strongly Marian, as you'd expect from Radio Maria. The Rosary, Mass, catechesis and talks on the faith make up the heart of the schedule, with music in between. It is radio that prays with you rather than talking at you, which sets it apart from many talk-driven stations. You can join the Rosary while driving or let a catechesis program run while you fold laundry.
The app itself is simple and small. It holds a 4.8 rating from more than 1,700 users and was updated in January 2026, so it is clearly maintained. It runs on iPhone and iPad.
Who it suits
Radio Maria suits Catholics who want prayer woven into ordinary hours: commuters, parents at home, retirees and anyone who works with their hands. It is especially good for people who find it hard to pray the Rosary alone, because you can simply join in with the station. Homebound parishioners may also value hearing Mass and the Rosary prayed live.
The caveats are modest. You need a data or Wi-Fi connection to stream, and the main experience is the live broadcast, so you hear what the station has scheduled. If you prefer apologetics or lively talk shows, other Catholic stations may suit you better.
The verdict: if you want Catholic radio that keeps you company in prayer, Radio Maria USA is one of the best, and this free app makes it easy to listen anywhere.
