Saintly fills your phone with sacred art. It is a wallpaper app with a large library of traditional Christian paintings, from Renaissance masters to icons, that you can set as your home or lock screen with a tap.
The art is the draw, and it is well chosen: the saints, the Holy Family, the life of Christ. Swapping a random photo for a painting of the Annunciation changes, in a small way, what you look at dozens of times a day.
It goes a little further with widgets that show the saint of the day and upcoming feast days, which is a nice touch for keeping the Church’s calendar in view.
It is not a prayer app, and it won’t teach you much about the saints beyond their names and feasts. But as a quiet, beautiful way to keep your faith visible on your phone, it is worth a look.
