Catholic Bible Now is a free Bible app you can read completely offline. It gives you the Scriptures on your phone without needing a connection once it is set up.

What makes it Catholic is the translations it carries. You get full Catholic Bibles in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, including the New Jerusalem Bible, the 1976 Bible of Jerusalem, and the Biblia Ave Maria, versions that include the deuterocanonical books many other Bible apps leave out. On top of that it has a verse of the day, a search tool, personal notes, favorites, and the usual font, color, and night-mode settings. It covers both the Old and New Testament and works entirely offline.

I appreciate that someone made the effort to put genuinely Catholic translations in a free app. So many Bible apps default to Protestant editions that quietly drop seven books, and a Catholic reader can get caught out. This one has the full canon, which matters.

Good for daily Bible reading, for travel and times without signal, and for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking Catholics who want their own language alongside English.

A few honest notes. It is the work of an indie developer, the ratings are modest, and it has not been updated recently. The interface is plain and a little dated, and you may see ads or prompts in a free app like this. None of that changes the text itself, which is what you are really there for.
