Catholic Daily: Bible & Saints puts Bible verses and saint quotes on your iPhone's Home Screen and Lock Screen. Open the app itself and you get the daily Gospel, the liturgical calendar, and a set of prayer reminders that have grown into the most interesting part of the app.

The widgets come in small, medium, and large sizes, plus Lock Screen versions. They rotate through more than 1,400 quotes from Scripture, the saints, and the Church Fathers, filterable by 26 topics like prayer, mercy, Mary, and the Eucharist. You can flip to the next quote, favorite it, or share it right from the widget without opening the app. Inside, the day's Gospel sits beside a calendar with feasts, solemnities, and fasting days marked, and the app can remind you about fasting and abstinence before the day arrives.

The feature I didn't expect is Prayer Focus. You schedule up to ten Sacred moments through the day. When one arrives, the app opens a short prayer, and if Prayer Focus is on, the apps you picked stay paused until you tap "I prayed." It's a screen-time tool pointed at the right target: not just less scrolling, but a moment of prayer in its place. If you've ever picked up your phone for the Gospel and ended up somewhere else entirely, this helps.

It's a good fit for anyone building a daily Scripture habit, for teens and young adults who live on their Lock Screens, and for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking families, since the whole app runs in all three languages. The streak widget adds a little accountability if that motivates you.

It still isn't a study app. There's no full Bible, no Liturgy of the Hours, no audio. Think of it as a companion that keeps your faith in view through the day, not the center of your prayer life.
