Click To Pray

Click To Pray is the Pope's prayer app. It is run by the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network and built around praying each day for the intentions of the Holy Father.

The app gives you three short moments of prayer a day, for morning, midday, and evening, each a brief text you can pray on your own in a minute or two. It also works as a community, where you can see and share the Pope's monthly intention, post your own intentions, and pray alongside other people doing the same thing around the world.

What I like about it is the rhythm. Three small stops in the day is an old idea, and having them on your phone with the actual words ready means you do not have to think about it, you just pray. Praying the Pope's intentions also pulls you out of your own head and toward the wider Church.

It is a good fit for anyone who wants a little structure for daily prayer without a big commitment, and for people who like knowing they are praying the same words as others across the world. It is simple enough for a teenager and steady enough for a daily habit.

It is not a deep prayer book, and it is not a substitute for the rosary or the Liturgy of the Hours. The three moments are short by design. The ratings are mixed, and some of that is the app having had rough patches with its updates over the years, so expect something simple rather than polished.

It is free, made by the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network. You can find it on the App Store: Click To Pray. A good, simple way to pray with the Holy Father every day.
