FaithfulRosary

FaithfulRosary is a simple app for praying the Rosary. It walks you through the prayers and the mysteries so you can pray along without losing your place.

Each day the app picks the right set of mysteries for you, whether Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, or Luminous, and guides you through them prayer by prayer. Along the way it shows scripture readings and religious art tied to each mystery, so there is something to reflect on as you pray. The screen stays clean and out of the way, which is the point.

For anyone who has wanted to pray the Rosary but never quite memorized the order, this kind of app is a real help. It removes the excuse. I have found that having the prayers in front of you, with the mystery already chosen, makes it far easier to actually sit down and pray rather than putting it off.

It is a good fit for beginners learning the Rosary, for people who want to pray it daily and need a little structure, and for praying on the go, in a waiting room, on a walk, or before bed. The artwork and readings make it suitable for slowing down and meditating rather than just rattling through.

It is a focused app, so do not expect much beyond the Rosary, with no daily Mass readings, no calendar, and no community features. It is version 1.0, so it is young, and you may find it plain next to bigger Catholic apps. For what it does, though, the simplicity is a strength.

It is free, made by an independent developer, Carlos Rei. You can get it on the App Store: FaithfulRosary. A clean, no-fuss way to pray the Rosary every day.
