Holy Rosary — AMDG

Holy Rosary — AMDG is a plain app for praying the Rosary. It keeps every prayer and all four sets of mysteries in one place, so you do not need to carry a booklet or remember the order yourself.

You get the Apostles' Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, the Fatima Prayer, and the Salve Regina, along with the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous mysteries. A guided mode walks you through the whole Rosary one step at a time, and you can set a daily reminder so you actually sit down and pray instead of meaning to.

The reminder is the part I found most useful. It is easy to tell yourself you will pray the Rosary later and then never get to it. A nudge at the same time each day takes that decision off your plate. The guided mode is also a gentle way back in if it has been a while and you have lost the rhythm.

It works well for someone just learning the Rosary, for a Catholic coming back after time away, or for a parent teaching children the prayers. Because everything is laid out in order, you are never left wondering what comes next.

Be honest with yourself about what it is. This is a text guide, not an audio Rosary, so there are no spoken prayers to follow along with. It has not been updated in a long while and only has a handful of ratings, so it feels older than some of the polished prayer apps out there. It does the one job it set out to do, and not much more.
