Holy Rosary - Standard Edition is a free rosary app from Joe Meineke that includes audio recordings of the prayers led by students from Franciscan University of Steubenville. The text of every prayer is shown on the screen as the audio plays.
The app loads the proper set of mysteries for each day of the week, or you can choose which mysteries to pray manually. You can pray along silently with the text on screen, or follow the audio recording of the Steubenville students. Settings let you adjust the audio playback, control whether the mysteries auto-advance, and set background music if you want it.
The Steubenville voices are the heart of this one. They are young voices, mostly student-aged, and they pray the rosary without dramatics. Just steady and clear. For anyone who has tried to pray the rosary while driving home from work, having a clear voice to follow rather than your own wandering thoughts is a real help.
Good for parents teaching kids the rosary, for anyone who prays the rosary on a commute, for people recovering from a long stretch away from the devotion, and for parish groups looking for a consistent rosary recording everyone can use together.
The recordings have been around for a while and the audio quality is fine but not studio-grade. The interface looks dated compared to newer rosary apps like Hallow or Laudate. There are no extras here. No Divine Mercy chaplet, no Liturgy of the Hours, just the rosary. If you want one app for all your prayer needs, this is not it.

Holy Rosary - Scriptural Edition, featuring audio recordings of students from the Catholic Franciscan University of Steubenville. This version is similar to the Scriptural Edition but does not have the scripture passages read before each Hail Mary.
The appropriate mystery is loaded for that particular day when the application launches. For Sundays, the mysteries are chosen based on the current liturgical season. You can also manually choose which mysteries you would like to pray along with by tapping the image on the screen and choosing from the menu.
Many people use this at night before they go to bed, or listen/pray along while they are in their cars or on-the-go. Just launch, press play and pray!
