La Santa Biblia Católica

La Santa Biblia Católica is the Spanish-language sister app to The Holy Catholic Bible — the same publisher's Catholic Bible reader, this time with the full Catholic canon in Spanish. All seventy-three books, the deuterocanonicals included, with audio, reading plans, a dictionary, and verse-sharing tools.

The translation is a Spanish Catholic version with the books in their proper Catholic order. You can adjust font size, switch to dark mode, highlight verses, and make shareable verse cards for sending through messaging apps. The reading plans walk you through the year, and the audio lets you listen while you read or while you're driving.

For Spanish-speaking Catholic families, this fills a gap that the general Spanish Bible apps don't quite fill. A lot of free Spanish Bibles on the App Store use Protestant editions that drop the deuterocanonicals. Having a Catholic Spanish Bible with the full canon, free, and with audio, is a real resource — especially for parishes serving Spanish-speaking parishioners.

Good for Spanish-speaking Catholic households, bilingual families who want their kids to read Scripture in Spanish as well as English, Hispanic Catholic parishes, and anyone studying Spanish who wants to read the Bible in a second language. Also useful for missionaries and catechists serving Spanish-speaking communities.

It's a reader, not a study Bible. No maps, no concordance, no patristic commentary, no cross-references. The audio quality is functional rather than broadcast-grade. If you want a Spanish Catholic study Bible with notes, look elsewhere.

Free, by Axeraan Technologies. Available on the App Store: La Santa Biblia Católica. A solid free Spanish Catholic Bible to keep on a phone.
