Lourdes Daily Prayers

Lourdes Daily Prayers is a simple Catholic prayer app named for the shrine at Lourdes. It gives you a set of prayers, a way to build your own daily list, and reminders to actually pray them.

You get a library of common prayers and can add the ones you want to a personal list, so the same prayers come up each day. There is a reminder feature that nudges you at a set time, which is the part that keeps a routine from slipping. The app is decorated with photographs of stained glass from churches and shrines, so each prayer arrives with an image to settle your attention.

The reminder is what made it stick for me. I know the prayers I mean to say, but the day gets away from me, and a quiet notification at the right hour is often the difference between praying and meaning to. Pairing each prayer with a piece of sacred art is a small thing that helps the mind slow down.

It is a good fit for someone building a daily prayer habit, anyone drawn to the devotion connected to Lourdes and Our Lady, or a person who wants prayers and reminders together in one tidy place. It would suit an older relative who wants something uncomplicated.

It is not a full devotional or a rosary app, and it does not carry the day's Mass readings. The Lourdes name is more about the spirit and the imagery than a deep collection of Lourdes-specific material. It comes from an independent developer, so the design is plain rather than polished.

It is free, made by Reuben's Apps. You can find it on the App Store: Lourdes Daily Prayers. As a gentle way to keep daily prayer on track, it does its job.
