Reflections on Divine Mercy

Reflections on Divine Mercy is a daily prayer app centered on the Divine Mercy devotion. Each day it gives you a short prayer and a reflection to pray through.

The way it works is simple. You open the app and the prayer and reflection for the day are right there. The reflection starts with a prayer tied to that day's theme, and you are encouraged to pray it more than once, in the morning, again during the day, and again at night. It works offline, it can read the reflection aloud to you, and you can share the day's prayer with family or friends. There is a dark theme for easier reading at night.

Divine Mercy is close to a lot of Catholic hearts, coming out of the message Our Lord gave to St. Faustina, and I was glad to find an app that keeps it simple and prayerful. Praying the same short prayer a few times a day has a way of settling your mind on God's mercy instead of your own worries.

Good for daily devotion, for people who want a small habit they can actually keep, and for anyone going through a hard stretch who needs to be reminded that God's mercy is bigger than their trouble.

It is a plain app, and that is the point, but it also means there is not much beyond the daily reflection. The reflections are the developer's own, so they are a help to prayer rather than official Church text.
