Rosary Army

Rosary Army is the mobile app of the long-running Rosary Army apostolate, the folks who hand out twine-knotted rosaries and ask you to make them, pray them, and give them away. The app puts their full library of audio Rosaries on your phone.

You get traditional, scriptural, and the newer Holy Hour Rosaries, all professionally recorded. Pick a mystery, press play, and the app prays through with you. There is also background information about the apostolate, how to make the knotted rosaries, and links to their podcast and other resources.

What I appreciate is the steadiness of the recordings. A real prayer leader voice, not a synthetic narration. You can tell the people behind this actually pray the Rosary every day. The pacing leaves enough silence for meditation between Hail Marys, which is rarer than it should be in audio Rosary apps.

Good for the morning drive, for daily walks, for evenings when you are tired and need someone to lead. Helpful for anyone wanting to introduce the Rosary to family members who do not know it well: children, spouses returning to the faith, friends curious about Catholic prayer. The Holy Hour Rosary is a nice option when you have more time.

It is single-purpose. Rosaries and Rosary content, nothing else. The app does not include a Divine Mercy Chaplet or other Catholic prayers. There is a donate option and a store, but no aggressive monetization.

Free, by Rosary Army Corp. Available on the App Store: Rosary Army. Real Catholic apostolate, real recordings, and a real spiritual gift. Keep it on your phone.
