Our Review

Rosary Offline is a text version of the Rosary that works without an internet connection. You open it, pick the mysteries, and pray along.

It walks you through the scriptural Rosary — each Hail Mary paired with a short line of Scripture tied to the mystery you are praying. It covers all twenty mysteries: the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous. You choose the right set for the day of the week, and you tap to move from bead to bead as if you were running a real Rosary through your fingers. Because it is all stored on the phone, it works on a plane, in a basement, anywhere.

I appreciate the scriptural approach. Praying the Rosary can drift into autopilot, and tying each bead to a line of Scripture keeps your mind on the actual event you are meant to be meditating on. The offline part sounds small until you are somewhere with no signal and glad you do not need one.

It is a good fit for travel, for praying on a commute underground, or for anyone who wants the scriptural Rosary without paying or signing in. New folks who do not yet have the prayers memorized will find the tap-along format easy to follow.

It is text only — there is no audio, so if you want a voice leading the Rosary out loud, this is not that app. The design is plain and functional. It does one thing, and people who want a richer experience with images and narration will want to look elsewhere.

It is free, made by Andrej Hriciga. You can find it on the App Store: Rosary Offline. For a no-fuss scriptural Rosary that works anywhere, it is a solid pick.
