St. Mark’s Men of the Rosary

This is a free Rosary app that grew out of a parish men’s group called St. Mark’s Men of the Rosary. The local name is on the label, but what is inside is a plain guide to praying the Rosary that any Catholic can use, wherever they happen to be.

It lays out all the Rosary prayers and the four sets of mysteries, the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous, in order so you can pray straight through without losing your place. It adds a short how-to-pray guide, prayer tips, some background on the Marian apparitions, and the promises attached to the Rosary. There is also a link to the group’s community if you want the fellowship side of it.

For someone learning the Rosary, or coming back to it after years away, having the prayers and the order of the mysteries in one place takes away the second-guessing that makes people give up. I appreciate that it includes the promises and a little background, which turns a habit you rattle off into something you actually understand and pray.

It suits parish men’s groups, fathers who want to lead the family Rosary and need a steadying hand, anyone picking the devotion back up, and beginners who do not yet have the mysteries memorized.

Set your expectations for what it is: a straightforward app from a small parish team, not a polished commercial product. There is no audio recitation and no fancy artwork, and the design is plain and a little dated. The community link is tied to the originating parish, so that piece will matter less if you are praying on your own at home each evening.
