Tabella is a Catholic content app that bundles a few things together — daily prayers, audio readings, podcasts, and a parish-finder that lets you connect with and get notifications from your home parish.

The home screen pulls together the Daily Gospel, the rosary in audio, a selection of Catholic podcasts, and a library of common Catholic prayers. The parish piece is the part that's a little different — you can find a Catholic parish near you, see its Mass and confession times, and follow it to get push notifications when the parish posts an announcement or bulletin. Parish leaders can use the same app to send those notifications out.

What I appreciate is the parish connection. Most Catholic apps treat the user as an island; Tabella tries to pull you back into the life of a specific local church, which is where the faith actually happens. Bulletins, Mass schedule changes, special events — the kind of information that used to live on a paper bulletin and now mostly disappears into email.

Good for an active parishioner who wants their parish's news on their phone, for a parish staff team that wants a simple way to reach members, and for Catholics who travel often and want to find a Mass quickly in a new town. The daily Gospel and rosary audio are bonuses on top.

The parish piece only works if your parish has signed up. Coverage is uneven — well represented in some dioceses, thin in others.
