Truthly is a question-and-answer app for Catholics. You type a question about the faith, something from Scripture, Church history, or doctrine, and it gives you an answer you can read on the spot.

Under the hood it runs on a Catholic version of the kind of AI chat tools that have become common. Alongside the instant answers, you get a daily inspiration with a Bible verse or teaching, and a set of short audio lessons that walk through Catholic doctrines in plain terms. The idea is to give you something to lean on when a friend or coworker asks a hard question and you want a faithful answer in the moment.

I found it handy for the small questions that come up all the time, why we do something at Mass, what the Church actually teaches on a point, where a story is in the Bible. Having a quick answer in your pocket takes some of the fear out of talking about the faith.

Good for anyone trying to learn and share the faith, for parents fielding questions from kids, and for people in RCIA or returning to the Church who have a long list of things they were never sure about.

One honest caution. The answers are generated by AI, and AI can get things wrong or miss the fuller picture. Treat it as a helpful starting point, not the last word. For anything weighty, check it against the Catechism or ask your priest. The app is upfront that it is a tool, and that is the right way to use it.
