Little Way: Catholic Prayer

Little Way is a Catholic prayer companion built on the spirituality of St. Thérèse of Lisieux — doing small things with great love. It frames your day with a morning offering, small acts of love through the day, and an examen at night.

The central idea is the spiritual bouquet. Every small act of love is a flower, and you gather flowers for the people you carry in your heart — a living soul, a beloved departed, or a special intention. Alongside the seven kinds of flowers you can add Holy Masses, Holy Hours, and candles. The nightly examen walks you through gratitude, a review of the day, a virtue to focus on, and a closing prayer matched to where you are. The intention you set at night becomes your morning offering. The Rosary is built in as well.

The spiritual bouquet is an old practice that mostly disappeared, and it is good to see someone hand it back to us. Offering a small sacrifice for a particular person turns out to be a very concrete way to love them, and keeping count sounds childish until you try it and find it keeps you faithful.
