The short version

A quiet, free web app that sets out the day’s Rosary mysteries and the complete Douay-Rheims Bible, read aloud, with no ads and nothing to buy.

Rosaria is a Rosary and Bible app that lives in your browser. There's nothing to download from a store. Open rosaria.cc, and if you like it, add it to your home screen from your browser's share menu. After that it opens full-screen like any other app and keeps working without a connection.

Open it and the day's mysteries are already chosen. The prayers are right in front of you, from the Creed through the Fatima prayer, and the beads move on the screen as you go. A newer spoken Rosary prays every prayer aloud at three speeds, and a hands-free mode moves on when you stop speaking. A simple streak keeps you honest without turning prayer into a game.

The Bible is the complete Douay-Rheims, all 73 books with the deuterocanonicals included. Every chapter can be read aloud in a recorded voice that highlights each verse as it goes. You can pick from five reading themes, three of them gently animated scenes, and keep highlights and notes.

What stands out is what isn't here. No feed, no notifications, no ads and no upsell. You don't need an account to pray; the optional free account only carries your streak and settings between devices. There are also small Bible groups of up to eight people if your family or study group wants to read together.

It's a good fit for anyone who means to pray the Rosary every day and keeps forgetting which mysteries it is, and for Douay-Rheims readers who'd like to listen on a commute. If you want novenas and chaplets too, look at Laudate.

Rosaria is free at rosaria.cc, by Kaleb Wright.

What we like

  • Picks the day’s mysteries and lays out every prayer on the beads
  • All 73 books of the Douay-Rheims, read aloud with verse highlighting
  • Free, no ads, works offline from your home screen

What could be better

  • A web app, not in the App Store or Google Play
  • Douay-Rheims only, no modern Catholic translation
  • Deliberately minimal: no novenas or chaplets
