Our Review
Signs and Wonders is a small reference app about reported miracles in the modern age. It gathers accounts of unexplained events and lays them out so you can read through them one at a time.
The app was inspired by Carlo Acutis, the teenager who built a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles back in 2005 and who has since been recognized by the Church. In the same spirit, this app collects miracles that have at least a reasonable level of documentation, whether multiple witnesses or investigations by outside parties, rather than just passing stories.
What I appreciate is the tone. The developer is upfront that a claimed miracle invites both faith and scrutiny, and that you are free to believe, to doubt, or to stay unsure. That is the honest way to handle this subject. It does not push you, and it does not pretend every account is settled fact.
It is a good fit for anyone curious about modern miracles, for teens and young adults who connect with Carlo Acutis, and for someone who wants a few minutes of reading that points toward God without being a full prayer app.
What it is not is a work of formal Church investigation, and it is not a devotional. It is one person's collection, offered carefully, so treat it as a starting point for your own reading rather than the final word. It is also fairly quiet, with not much to do beyond read.
Free, made by Luke Niewiadomski. On the App Store: Signs and Wonders. A modest, thoughtful app in the line of the young saint who inspired it.
App Store Description
Information is provided about a variety of recorded miracles in the current age. The app is inspired by Carlo Acutis and the website he created as a teenager in 2005, and dedicated to those in search of truth.
Any potential miracle invites both faith and scrutiny, and our free will is welcomed to believe, discount, or remain uncertain. However, the included miracles have a reasonable level of validity based on multiple witnesses or well-documented investigations by third parties.
